1. Prepare your business details
Create an account and verify your email address. During setup, choose your business name, country, currency and default menu language. If you have multiple branches, decide which location's menu to prepare first.
- An up-to-date product and price list
- A logo and product photos you have permission to use
- Descriptions, options and verified allergen information
2. Add categories and products
Group products into categories guests will recognise. Add each product's name, description and price, then include portion options and a photo where appropriate. Use your list's natural groupings rather than creating too many categories.
If you have an Excel or CSV list, check column mappings and prices in the import preview. The import adds products to the draft; uploading the file does not publish your menu by itself.
3. Review design and languages
Adjust the logo, colours and design, then review the phone layout. If you enable additional languages, fill in the product and category translations. Selecting a language does not automatically translate product text.
Pay particular attention to long names, size options and price formatting. Confirm that the information matches what your kitchen and service team use.
4. Publish the menu
Make sure the correct branch is selected and publish the prepared menu. Draft changes and the published menu are separate. For later edits, you will also need to publish the version guests should see.
Open the menu link on another browser or phone. This lets you check the guest-facing version independently of the management panel's preview.
5. Test the QR code before printing
Get the code from the QR codes section. If you want waiter calls or bill requests linked to tables, prepare the relevant table codes. Distinguish a general menu code from a table-specific code.
- Scan a test print at its intended size and in the table's lighting.
- Check the menu on at least two different phones.
- Add a short instruction beside the code.
- Change and publish a price, then confirm it through the same QR code.
Common questions
Do I need technical skills?
You do not need to write code. Products and design are managed in the panel. Complete the publishing and QR testing steps before sharing it with guests.
Is setup paid?
Quarmenu is free during early access and does not require a credit card to sign up. If paid plans are introduced, their terms will be shared in advance.
